Lots of lovely things

This morning the girls were very exited to come downstairs and find lots of Christmassy loveliness set out on the table. Please excuse the fairly awful grainy photos that follow. They were taken using my small automatic camera, that I simply can not work out. I just can't deal with the whole 'point and shoot' thing.

Their  advent calender vouchers were the source of much shrieking and squealing, and they were instantly pronounced to be the 'best advent calenders ever'. I also put out the Christmas table mats and a book of Christmas activities, plus they have their Christmas pajamas waiting for them at bedtime. In previous years they have always worn a pair of special Christmas pajamas to bed on Christmas Eve, however I have realised how silly this is, as the pajamas end up getting worn for no more than a week or two before being packed away again, so this year we are getting them out early.

Of course the vouchers were the topic of much conversation all through breakfast, and the girls agreed that Emily could go first. Emily's choice for today was to visit the Lindt Factory.
The girls had a blast, and each chose this years new Lindt Chocolate figure - a bear (or possibly a wombat) for themselves.  Plus we got in a bit of Christmas shopping, and still made it home in time for Emily's gymnastics class.
Everyone was tired at bed time, but very happy to be in their new Christmas pajamas.
And my favorite quotes from today;
Sofie: Mummy, we really are the luckiest girls in the wold. Thank you so much for our brilliant advent calenders and our chocolate bears.

Emily: Mummy I love you so much. But I love my blue fleece jacket just a little bit more.

You win some, you loose some....

  1. You go to some fantastic places. Wow! The vouchers sound like such a good idea. I'm sure Emily was comparing her fleece to her pyjamas. Not you. Although, I've not seen her blue fleece. So maybe......

  4. Your kids looking really very cute in Christmas pajamas. Its a holiday tradition in our family to wear Christmas Pjs on Christmas Eve and that's why I have already started with my shopping. I have bought two pair of flannel pajamas for my husband and kids from SleepyHeads.com and they are loving them :)
